What we collect
Contact details you choose to send us - name, role, company and work email.
The content of the brief or enquiry you submit, and any subsequent correspondence.
Basic, aggregated website usage information such as pages viewed. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry and assess whether an engagement makes sense.
To deliver and administer an engagement once one is agreed.
To meet legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.
The legal bases we rely on are your consent when you contact us, the performance of a contract once an engagement begins, and our legitimate interest in running the firm.
Confidentiality
Client briefs, data and findings are treated as confidential. We do not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Where a specialist partner is engaged on your behalf, information is shared only with your knowledge and only to the extent required for that work.
Retention
Enquiry correspondence is retained while a conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards. Engagement records are retained for as long as required by contract and by applicable legal and accounting obligations, then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict its use, and request portability.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@etion.advisory. You also have the right to complain to your national supervisory authority.
Changes
We may update this notice as the firm and its services evolve. The version published on this page is the current one.
